DIY Power System Review

As one of the top selling power generation programs, the DIY Power System includes a variety of information about the production and harvesting of power. The guide focuses specifically on generating solar power, harvesting wind, biodiesel and storing power using batteries. This guide provides a very well written instruction manual which is easy to follow. The instructions are relatively easy to follow but not as well written as other power generation guides. Some previous experience with energy creation is recommended if this is the only guide you plan to purchase. The DIY Power System guide does require you to organize the information according to which type of power source you plan to create. This could be improved but does contain all of the info you’ll need to successfully build your power generators. The guide does include some helpful diagrams and schematics through out the guide, giving you a clear understanding of what needs to get done and how to do it.

The system is broken up into a variety of different books. The first is the DIY solar generation guide which includes more than thirty pages and explains the basics of solar power. The guide covers all of the different types of power systems that are available and the specific materials you need to create each one. The guide further outlines how the solar system works and provides instructions on how to build it. One great feature of this ebook is that it reveals some techniques for getting your solar panels for little to no money – great from those who are trying to save on solar power development costs. The guide includes other techniques for reducing expenses when constructing your power generation resources and ends with maintenance suggestions.

The second ebook is for DIY wind related power generation. This is a much shorter guide, just over a dozen pages, and explains the concept of wind power and the various methods of creating wind power. It explains the benefits of wind power and why building a wind power generator is ideal as an independent power supply or to supplement solar power. The guide than lays out the steps needed to build your own wind turbine – creating energy even on cloudy days. The ebook contains a list of materials and required tools needed to assemble the wind turbine. It provides instructional diagrams which helps you to assemble the wind turbine, clearly explaining the purpose of each part and how it works to produce an everlasting source of energy.

The next ebook, DIY Batteries is a little more than twenty pages and provides a thorough explanation of the purpose of batteries from the perspective of energy independence and how they work when storing and generating electricity. The guide provides a number of examples of batteries used for energy storage and how to determine the best battery to support your energy production. One aspect of the guide that is unique is the thorough explanation of safety related issues when thinking about the types of chemicals you should use when creating your battery power. The instructions provide valuable information but we didn’t see it as a detailed or completely thorough guide. The ebook does ground you in some basic information about power generation and does provide step-by-step instructions. However, without some prior knowledge, you may find some aspects challenging or difficult to understand.

The fourth ebook is somewhat unique to this power generation kit. The DIY Biodiesel guide is also about twenty pages long and give you everything you need to create a biodiesel processor. You receive background information about what biodiesel is and how you can use it on your quest for energy independence. You will also receive instructions on how to how to set it up rather quickly. The ebook provides more in-depth information on how to make your own biodiesel fuel and use it to power your vehicle. The guide also reveals additional uses for biodiesel that you may not have previously considered. I’m a big fan of biodiesel so I was interested in this guide because it is one of the few available guides that provide robust information on biodiesel creation and usage.

Personally we liked this guide but feel that there are stronger power generation instruction resources with more to offer. If you are interested in biodiesel only, this DIY Power System guide is more than accurate and can return much more than what you will spend. If you want to focus on solar and wind power generation, than we recommend Earth4Energy.
